The future is exciting and still open for me, and I’m confident that my current studies will guide me toward the right path. Being taught by leading PhD researchers in Bordeaux has shown me how vast and dynamic the field of viticulture and enology truly is. While I don’t yet know if I’ll end up managing vineyards, developing new wines, or working in a different part of the industry, I’m eager to explore it all. The hands-on experiences, insightful lectures, and countless wine tastings have already taught me so much. I look forward to discovering my calling within this rich and rewarding world of winemaking.
Studying abroad
Studying abroad has been an incredible experience for me as a student passionate about wine. Currently, I am enrolled in a Bachelor of Viticulture and Enology at Bordeaux Sciences Agro in France, diving deep into the art and science of winemaking. This semester is part of a minor program, and it's been fascinating to learn everything from vineyard management to yeast fermentation, as well as visiting iconic chateaux. Alongside in-depth lectures, I've enjoyed hands-on learning through a two-week internship that truly brought classroom theories to life.
Future goals
Student life
Life as a student in Bordeaux has been a wonderful mix of learning, fun, and cultural immersion. Outside of school, I love spending time with friends at rooftop parties, exploring the beach at Arcachon, or cheering for UBB at rugby games every other weekend. Our class bonds over big celebrations like birthdays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, often organizing festive parties together. Beyond the classroom, events like Vinitech offer endless opportunities to network with companies and explore the wine industry’s many facets. The friendships I’ve made, including with Luka, who joined this minor with me, have made this experience even more special.
