Expertise & Research Centre in Business & Enterprise Development

The focus of the new chair in Business & Enterprise Development is to stimulate the added value potential of national and international entrepreneurship in the agricultural value chain. It also aims to boost innovation by carrying out market-oriented, consumer-based and general research, translating trends into business opportunities, developing sustainable revenue models and encouraging start-ups. This should result in enhancing the position of entrepreneurs and partners within the chain and stimulate the ongoing sustainability and profitability of the industry. The new position will bring together expertise, facilitate knowledge exchange between education, research and industry, and improve education in business and entrepreneurship at both HAS University of Applied Sciences and Harper Adams University.

This new appointment is a joint chair between HAS University of Applied Sciences and Harper Adams University in the UK, where Wim de Koning has also been appointed Visiting Professor.
