Professorships

At HAS green academy, 13 professors and approximately 50 lecturer-researchers work within 12 professorships. They collaborate with students, lecturers and professionals from the field on practical research programmes, both in the Netherlands and abroad.

Professorships are knowledge groups at universities of applied sciences, that establish connections between education, professional practice and applied research in areas of social relevance. A professorship consists of a professor and knowledge circle consisting of lecturer-researchers and support staff.

    The Business Models for Regenerative Agriculture professorship focuses on how new opportunities can arise for nature-inclusive business operators in an alternative interaction between farmers, society and government. It is also looking at how a business model with sufficient earning potential can be created for farmers who want to work on nature-inclusive agriculture.

    The Food Design Methods professorship conducts research into design methods that can be used in further education, and which result in new designs for healthy and sustainable food choice behaviour. These are things like food products, packaging and communications, but also entirely new food environments and food systems.
