Bram van Helvoirt nominated for Food 100

IntroFood100 recently presented the 100 most influential Dutch food changemakers of the moment for the eighth time, and HAS teacher Bram van Helvoirt has also been nominated!

The Food100 list consists of impact-makers dedicated to creating a future-proof food system with more sustainable, healthier, and more socially responsible food and drink for everyone – from farm to fork. Whether in agriculture, innovation, consultancy, or communication, these one hundred game-changers offer solutions and ideas for every link in the food chain. The list is compiled annually by Slow Food Youth Network, AgriFood Capital, Foodhub, and Food Inspiration.

And some exciting news: our very own Bram van Helvoirt has been nominated for his role as a lecturer at the study programme International Food & Agribusiness, researcher at the Future Food Systems research group, and his involvement in food networks such as 013Food and Voedsel Anders. This is a wonderful recognition of our education and research at HAS. And Bram is not the only one, earlier International Food & Agribusiness alumnus Ivar van Dorst became a 'Foodheld' after being nominated in the list.

The Food100 is curated by an independent panel of experts. Over 350 applications were evaluated based on four criteria to create the final list: decisiveness, innovation, sustainability, and the extent to which the candidate shares knowledge and insights. Six food changemakers from the Food100 list will be named Food Hero 2024 due to their exceptional achievements. On Friday 22nd November, the Food100 jury will announce the recipients of this special mention during a networking lunch.
