On 15 April 2020 from 15.00 to 21.00, HAS University of Applied Sciences will host an online open day for Dutch speaking prospective students. The physical open days on 21 and 25 March have been cancelled due to the coronavirus. So, we decided to help prospective students with their choice of study programme via an Online Open Day and, at the same time, give them a taste of the atmosphere of the HAS building, even if it's only on their screen. It's not the first time we have held an Online Open Day: we've done this before, for international students.
During the online open day, students and their parents can watch a general video about HAS University of Applied Sciences as well as all the information presentations of our degree programmes. They can also ask questions via the live chat or WhatsApp. They can listen to the lecturers' and students' testimonials, or get advice from a study adviser. There will also be videos available to watch again after the event.
English study programmes
De Online Open Day is aimed at Dutch students looking for a study programme. For international students, each English-language study programme broadcasted a webinar in January 2020. You can find these webinars on the hasuniversity.nl website.
Personal contact
“Personal contact with the prospective students is important to us,” says Rutger van den Aker, communications adviser at HAS University of Applied Sciences. “Unfortunately, due to the corona measures we have in place, we are currently unable to welcome them personally. That's why we’re doing everything we can to convey the HAS atmosphere as effectively as possible online. And, maybe even more importantly, to make sure they can still get in touch with our current students. In addition to an Online Open Day, we are also looking at the possibilities for organising an online variant of the trial study days.
