In February 2016, the HAS University of Applied Sciences is launching 4 new courses for professionals: Basic Dairy Technology, Basic Bakers’ Technology, Basic Meat Technology and Basic Beverage Technology. These courses are particularly suited for employees without any previous technological knowledge and for individuals who do have practical experience in the production environment, but who want to understand the whys and wherefores of the theory behind their work.

Demand for qualified employees

By offering these courses, HAS is responding to the growing demand for qualified employees from the specialised sectors. The Basic Dairy Technology course is, for example, ideally suited to new employees in the dairy sector. These basic courses offer the tools needed for a better understanding of raw materials and processes, in order to become a more credible partner.

Follow-up course

These 4 basic courses also provide a solid entry level qualification for the related Bakers Technology, Dairy Technology and Meat Technology follow-up courses, which offer a more in-depth study of the subject. Students who have successfully completed the Basic course are offered a discount on the course fees for the follow-up course.
